Previously untreated fully eruption of permanent molars with sound surface or carious lesion (ICDAS score 2&#45

Interventions

All pit and fissure surfaces are etched with 3Mâ„¢ ESPEâ„¢ Scotchbondâ„¢ Universal Etchant contains 37% by weight phosphoric acid for 30 seconds&#44
then thoroughly rinse the teeth with air/water spray to remove etchant&#44
apply sealant (Helioseal clear) with microbrush to all surfaces&#44
then use the explorer along the groove to enhance sealant penetration and also remove the bubbles&#44
cured for 20 seconds per surface. After that the sealants are checked by explorer for retention and any defects. The occlusion will be checked with articulating paper and adjusting if needed. If any o

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Healthy children age 6-14 years old without any systemic diseases - Voluntary under the consent of parents or caregivers - Cooperative behavior during dental procedure - Previously untreated fully eruption of permanent molars with sound surface or carious lesion (ICDAS score 2-4) in functional occlusion without frank cavity of dentine lesion - Bitewing radiography shows radiolucent involved less than or equal to outer1/3 of dentin

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Frank cavitated dentine lesion (ICDAS score 5-6), history of restoration or sealant - Bitewing radiography shows radiolucent involved more than outer1/3 of dentin - Enamel defect teeth - Uncooperative behavior during dental procedure - Patients with known acrylate allergies
