The diagnosis of sarcopenia was based on documentation of low muscle mass plus low muscle strength or low physical performance. Patients having low muscle mass without an impact on muscle strength or
patients having low muscle mass,
low muscle strength and low physical were identified as "severe sarcopenia".

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Age > 60 years 2.Diagnosis of cancer that required surgery
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients who cannot walk or stand up 2.Pacemaker 3.Medication, herb, hormone that affect muscle mass and strength (estrogen, testosterone, eltroxin, steroid) 4.Alcohol drinking within 12 hours prior to Bioimpedance analysis (BIA) measurement 5.Heavy exercise within 12 hourrs prior to BIA measurement
