This study enrolled adults aged over 18 years who had undergone an operation within the preceding week and who had been admitted to an SICU for a period that was expected to be longer than 24 hours. T

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18 years or older 2. Admitted to surgical ICU within 7 days after operation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients who do not undergo operation 2. Patients who are unable to communicate in Thai 3. Patients with severe visual or auditory impairment that interfere with communication 4. Patients with level of consciousness defined by Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS) of - 4 or -5 during the entire ICU admission
