Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria were teeth had undergone primary root canal treatment&#44; having periapical lesion with periapical index score of 3&#44; 4 or 5 (Orstavik et al. 1986) &#44; with a pocket depth of <3 mm; and incisive&#44; canine and premolar teeth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients had any systemic disease&#44; received NASIDs or antibiotic treatment for one month before the study&#44; had teeth with external or internal root resorption were excluded from the study.
