Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals with stroke: 1. Unilateral hemiparesis caused by first ever stroke within 1 months 2. Able to sit without supports for more than 30 seconds 3. Get score 1 or 2 on the STS item of the MAS 4. Able to understand instructions and follow commands: Thai Mental State Examination score > 23 points 5. Stable medical conditions: systolic blood pressure ≤ 140 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure ≥ 60 mmHg, resting heart rate 60-90 beats/minute 6. Normal structures of ankle and foot 7. No ataxic movement of trunk and lower extremities 8. Not participate in bridging exercise training program Healthy subjects: 1. No significant painful of lumbar spine and lower extremity joints 2. No history of major trauma or surgery of lumbar spine and lower extremities in 3 months before participation 3. Structural leg length discrepancy less than 1 cm 4. Normal structure of ankle and foot
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals with stroke: 1. Parkinson’s disease, cerebellar and pontine lesions 2. Severe heart conditions and postural hypotension 3. Absent of exteroceptive and proprioceptive sensations 4. Had a problem of cortical sensation 5. Limited middle to outer ranges of flexion-extension at lumbar spine, hip, knee and ankle joints 6. Painful of lumbar spine and lower extremity joints 7. Structural leg length discrepancy more than 1 cm 8. Wounds of the back and lower extremity regions
