18 Years to 80 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (i) aged 18 and above (ii) underwent open thyroid or parathyroid surgery (iii) able to give informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (i) previous neck incision over the site of intended incision (ii) history of allergy, sensitivity or contraindicated to local anaesthetic, NSAID, opioids and paracetamol (iii) cervical lymphadenopathy needing radical neck dissection (iv) co-morbidities of renal failure, liver failure, history of peptic ulcer, bronchial asthma, clotting disorder (v) poorly controlled diabetes mellitus, hypertension and heart disease (vi) unable to provide informed consent
