Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. age 18 year-old or more 2. Type 2 DM 3. on constant statin-dose more than 3 months 4. Difference in LDL-C level less than 30% within 1 year before recruiting to the study 5. Able to inform and consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. No history of steroid use within 6 months before recruiting to the study 2. No history of drug interfering cortisol metabolism 3. Diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency or Cushing syndrome 4. glomerular filtration rate < 30 ml/min/1.73 m2 5. cirrhosis 6. Serum albumin < 2.5 mg/dl 7. During acute illness 8. Abnormal thyroid function 9. contraceptive pill 10. On lipid&#45;lowering treatments other than statin
