Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The criteria for participating into the study were: (a) people aged between 18 to 35 years old (according to Allostatic load theory and the role of facing chronic stressors in the formation of an endocrine response, all participants in the study ranged from age 18 to 35 years); b) a history of at least two years of continuous consumption of methamphetamine with a inhalation pattern of about 0.5 to 1 grams per day; (c) detecting drug dependence based on DSM criteria; d) body mass index (BMI) between 18 to 35 kilograms (kg).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria were also included of: (a) the diagnosis of any psychiatric disorder based on DSM-5, seizure, history of head trauma, endocrine disruption, cardiovascular disease or other specific chronic diseases; b) treatment in the last 6 months with antidepressants, neuroleptics, sedative, glucocorticoids, appetite suppressants, estrogens, dopamine medications; (c) experience of any stress currently and d) pregnancy, taking hormones or any stimulant or suppressive of cortisol medication. Money was paid to people for their participations.
