Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age > 18 years. 2) Patients who had typical symptoms and signs of CTS, such as a positive Tinel’s sign or Phalen’s test; numbness/tingling in at least two of the first, second, or third digits. 3) Confirmed diagnosis of moderate CTS with electrophysiological study. 4) And who are willing to join the study are enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Mild and severe CTS 2) Pregnancy 3) Previous carpal tunnel release surgery or corticosteroid injection in carpal tunnel. 4) History of wrist fractures. 5) Have an underlying disease of cervical radiculopathy or peripheral neuropathy. 6) Others metabolic diseases such as hypothyroidism, diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, or rheumatoid arthritis. 7) Previous focused extracorporeal shock wave therapy(fESWT) 8) Reading comprehension problem
