Interventions

Patients should be treated with an adjusted dose of insulin (25% decrease of prescription). ,Patients should be treated with an unadjusted dose of insulin (100% of prescription).

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria comprised being 18 years or older&#44; diagnosis of T2DM&#44; on hemodialysis three sessions weekly and for at least three months&#44; stable insulin dosage for at least three months and stable glycemic treatment with HbA1c<8% for at least three months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included diagnosis of type 1 diabetes&#44; pregnancy&#44; active malignancy&#44; being physically&#45;challenged&#44; active or chronic infection within three months of starting the study and symptomatic hypo&#45; or hyperglycemia within three months.
