Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients who were Helicobacter pylori negative at screening and who required continuous medications with LDA (75-325 mg/day) for at least 4 weeks after participation in the study, regardless of history of LDA therapy, and that they were aged 20 years or older
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Presence of peptic ulcer detected on endoscopy at the start of treatment; previous gastrectomy or vagotomy; treatment with a PPI or H2RA within 4 weeks before the administration of study medication; treatment with a NSAID or corticosteroid within 4 weeks before the administration of study medication; serious liver disease, serious renal disease, serious cardiac disease and/or serious blood dyscrasia; allergy or previous experience of an adverse reaction to teprenone; pregnancy or lactation
