Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Every patient who had urinary catheter inserted in ER, general wards, and intensive care units of the medical, surgical, and neurosurgical department

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Any patients who had preexisting urological diseases/abnormalities e.g., renal calculi, suprapubic cystostomy - History of allergic reaction to Savlon solution - Any patients who have significant bacteriuria at baseline urine culture - Any patients with provisional diagnosis with UTIs - Unknown periurethral cleaning solution used - Any patients who anticipted to have their urinary catheter removed within 24 hours
