patients are exposed to whole body vibration for 1 minute alternating with rest time (standing calf stretched without vibration) for 1 minute. (total whole body vibration time of 5 minutes and total r

Eligibility

Sex/Gender
All
Age
18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Spastic hemiplegic stroke patients 2. More than 3 months after onset of stroke 3. Can stand for longer than 5 minutes 4. Modified Asworth Scale (MAS) 1+ or 2 5. Can walk farther than 10 meters 6. No change of antispastic drug dose in the previous 1 month

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. History of injection of botulinum toxin to the ankle plantarflexors in recent 3 months 2. History of injection of phenol to nerve innervating ankle plantarflexors in recent 6 months 3. History of fracture of lower limbs in recent 1 year or having metallic implant in lower limbs. 4. Severe pain affecting walking 5. Spinal cord injury 6. Injury of peripheral nerve innervating lower limbs 7. Cancer 8. On pacemaker 9. Uncontrolled hypertension or severe orthostatic hypotension 10. Being pregnant
