Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) aged between 18-50 years; 2) had been diagnosed of schizophrenia according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th (DSM-IV); 3) received stable agent and dosage regimen of antipsychotics for at least 2 months; 4) had mild to moderate symptoms of schizophrenia which was determined by Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) of 32-54; and 5) had duration of illness after diagnosis of schizophrenia less than 10 years.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients were excluded if they had mental retardation, delirium, or had communication impairment which affected the ability to perform cognitive function tests.
