Interventions
ess management program in this study is a psycho educational,
prepared from experts who have good experiences in treating and educating people who have stress related problems. All the information given to the participants in the lectures and workshops will be u
two hours and 30 minutes on each lecture contained a theoretical part within one and half hours,
practical and workshop part within one hour. The lectures will be repeated for three days to give nurses a chance to enroll in one of them according to their schedule.
1. Lecture one which is a theore
provides participants with basic of knowledge about stress,
different kinds of stress perceptions,
type of stressors,
stress effect on a person’s life and importance of coping skills for one’s well-
being. However,
lectures discussed the common cognitive errors like dichotomous thinking,
filtering,
overgeneralization,
personalization and emotional reasoning. Furthermore,
skills for facing (coping) stressors like
thought modification or change,
problem solving techniques,
thought substitution,
cost benefit analysis,
optimism and positive thinking,

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Saudi nurses who are working at the selected hospitals for at least one year continuously with full time employment. As well as nurses who will not be on leave in the next 3 months. Also they have to be fully occupied with a nursing job and not assigned to administrative work
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Non-Saudi nurses (because of the language barrier and they might not be permanent nurses), nursing staffs who participate in the pilot study. Furthermore, those who belong to other institutions and those on leave of absence for non-health-related or health-related reasons for over three months will be excluded from the study. Also, head nurses and supervisors will be excluded from the sample because of their work nature that is different from staff nurse’s work nature.
