Interventions

The present study was an experimental pretest&#45
posttest control group design with follow up of 3 months. The statistical population of this study was divorced women referring to Mehravar counseling and psychotherapy services center in Tehran (age
available sampling method was used. In the first consultation session &#44
after the referral of divorced women to the counseling center&#44
a structured clinical interview was conducted and Back depression questionnaire was completed. During the period from March to June 2016&#44
among 103 dicorced women referring to the counseling center&#44
77 eligible applicants were identified after the initial stages of evaluation&#44
among which the women with the highest mean scores in the questionnaire and who were willing to participating having the criteria for entering the research were 30 people. They were randomly assigned
coordinating with the director of the center&#44
informing the participants of the experimental group&#44
observing the ethical principles and considering the time limit&#44
the 8 group sessions were held for 90 minutes on sundays&#44
every week at the Mehrvar consulting center located in Jamalzadeh street&#44
Tehran. The control group did not receive any type of treatment during this period. Therefore&#44
due to ethical issues&#44
the control group was promised to undergo treatment after the end of the sessions of the experimental group
both groups completed the questionnaire in the pre&#45
post&#45

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: the women with the highest mean scores in the questionnaire who were not under the care of psychotherapy or medication and willing to participate, having the criteria for entering the research were 30 people.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: the women with the lowest mean scores in the questionnaire who were under the care of psychotherapy or medication.
