Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Aged equal or more than 18 -On maintenance hemodialysis scheduled thrice weekly -Willingness to participate in the study with a written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Life expectancy less than 1 year -Scheduled renal transplantation -Severe co-morbidid: active malignancy, active infection, end stage organ diseases -Pregnancy or lactating -Unable to give informed consent because of mental incompetence or a psychiatric disorder -status post coronary stent
