who were admitted to the medical ICU of Songklanagarind Hospital during the study period&#44
were enrolled. We excluded patients&#44
who were comfort&#45
care patients&#44
had been readmitted to the medical ICU during same period of hospitalization&#44
those who had received vitamin D supplementation or were diagnosed with vitamin D intoxication.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All critically ill patients, who were admitted to the medical ICU of Songklanagarind Hospital during the study period, were enrolled.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We excluded patients, who were comfort-care patients, had been readmitted to the medical ICU during same period of hospitalization, those who had received vitamin D supplementation or were diagnosed with vitamin D intoxication.
