Participants will be needled at 14 acupoints [Tianshu (ST 25) x2&#44
Shuidao (ST 28)x2&#44
Zhongwan (RN 12)&#44
Xiawan (RN 10)&#44
Qihai (RN 6)&#44
Guanyuan (RN 4)&#44
Zusanli (ST 36)x2&#44
Fenglong (ST 40)x2 and Sanyinjiao (SP6)x2] and electric stimulation will connect to the needles for 30 minutes per session. Paticipants will be treated 2 sessions per week for 8 weeks. ,Participants w

Eligibility

18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Thai women aged 18&#45;65 years with central obesity (waist circumference >=80 cm)plus at least 2 out of 4 criteria: 1. Fasting blood glucose >=100mg/dL 2. Hypertension (SBP>=130 mmHg or DBP >=85 mmHg) 3. Triglyceride >=150 mg/dL 4. High density lipoprotein (HDL) <50 mg/dL

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. patients who had history of bleeding disorders&#44; thrombocytopenia&#44; congestive heart failure&#44; ischemic heart diseases&#44; or who were receiving anticoagulant or anti platelet aggregration medications 2. patients who had active dermatological lesions at the area of acupuncture 3. pregnancy 4. mental disability 5. morbid obesity who are currently received medication for weight reduction
