Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 years Chronic hepatitis C with sustained virologic response after direct-acting agent Evidence of liver fibrosis from fibroscan, MRE or ultrasound

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Decompensated liver cirrhosis Chronic liver disease or cirrhosis from other causes HIV infection, autoimmune disease, malignancy, asthma or COPD Pregnancy and/or lactation woman Active viral or bacterial infection History of steroids or immunosuppressive therapy in 6 months before enrollment History of interferons-based therapy within 1 year History of active alcohol drinking in 6 months before enrollment Chronic kidney disease (GFR ≤ 60 ml/min)
