Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: mechanically-ventilated patients, who undergo REE measurement by indirect calorimetry using an E-COVX module integrated in Engstrom ventilator at medical ICUs

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients receiving continuous hemodialysis 2.Patients assisted with high ventilator settings- FiO2 > 60% or PEEP > 12 cmH2O, or 3.Patients having an air leakage problem 4.Spontaneous breathing patients
