18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 75 years American Society of Anesthesiologists classification 1-3 Body Mass Index between 18 and 35 Written informed consent obtained from the patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Adults who are unable to give their own consent or refuse to participate Pre-existing neuropathy (assessed by history and physical examination) Coagulopathy Renal failure or hepatic failure Allergy to LAs Pregnancy Prior surgery in the area of the lumbar spine Chronic pain syndromes requiring opioid intake at home

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Visualization of the spread of local anesthetic in the psoas compartment at 8 months after end of the intervention ultrasound image

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Quality of the block, onset time, duration of anesthesia and analgesia, and any adverse events 30 mins and 24 hours postoperative sensory and motor block score (get 6 points from maximum 8 points) , time to return sensorimotor fun,Opioid consumption in the first 24 hours postoperative 24 hr total morphine consumption
