Interventions

Two milliliters of methylprednisolone acetate is mixed with a half milliliter of 1% lidocaine without adrenaline. Additional treatments including a second injection is allowed by the patient at 6 week

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18 – 65 years Trigger digit No history of intraarticular steroid injection

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inflammatory or autoimmune arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis Prior tendon injury of the involved digit A current or suspected pregnancy, and breast-feeding Infection site of injection Systematic steroid use Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath Steroid allergy No anticoagulant therapy No bleeding disorder Xylocaine allergy Multiple digits of trigger finger (≥2)
