Interventions

Primary knee OA patients with lower levels of serum 25(OH)D (<30 ng/ml) received 40&#44
000 IU vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) per week for 6 months.

50 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Knee OA patients who meet the criteria of American College of Rheumatology 2.Knee OA patients have vitamin D insufficiency (25(OH)D < 30 ng/ml) 3.Individuals capable of giving informed consent on their own behalf 4.Individuals willing to attend in this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Knee OA patients who have history of knee surgery 2.Known primary hyperparathyroidism 3.Current supplement of vitamin D 4.Kidney disease 5.Liver disease 6.Rheumatoid or other inflammatory arthritis (i.e. septic arthritis&#44; gout). 7.Neurological condition (i.e. Parkinson’s disease&#44; previous stroke) 8.Severe cardiovascular condition (i.e. unstable angina) 9.Amputation of lower limbs 10.Unable to perform physical performance 11.Severe visual or hearing impairment uncorrected
