Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.The patient has a benign ovarian cyst confirmed with ultrasound and the treatment plan is to undergo a unilateral oophorectomy or bilateral oophorectomy by laparotomy or laparoscopy between 25 Januaray to 30 March 2017. 2.Informed consent by the patient.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.During the operation, the cyst looked malignant or suggested malignant from frozen section. 2.The surgeon considered that for the benefit of the patient the surgery should be converted from oophorectomy to cystectomy only. 3.The ovarian cortex retrieved is not appropriate for the size of 2 x 2 x 0.1 cm., which may be caused by the size of the cyst.
