18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient age >/= 18 years old and Severe sepsis/ septic shock (Hospital acquired infection) and Admitted in hospital more than 48 hours

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hypercalcemia (serum calcium >/= 10 mg/dl) Hyperphosphatemia (serum phosphate >/= 6 mg/dl) Current therapy with nutritional vitamin D at any doses History of primary parathyroid disease Metabolic bone disease Expected to die within 48 hours Pregnancy History of transplantation Malignancy with poor prognosis
