This cross sectional descriptive study was conducted on 130 chronic rhinosinusitis patients who did not respond to medical treatment and were candidate for Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) f
74 years and the mean of patients’ age was 38/16 ± 13/44. Patients who observed inclusion criteria involving >18 years old,
no antibiotics consumption in the last month,
failure to respond to at least two courses of chronic sinusitis treatment,
and having positive coronal CT were enrolled for the current study. This study was approved by the ethics committee of Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences,
Yazd,
Iran. Written consent was obtained from all the patients. Patients were examined in terms of medical and surgical history as well as clinical and demographic information. It is noteworthy to mention t
a few samples were taken from the middle meatus by sterile swab. Then,
the samples were transported in Stuart'
s transport medium under sterile conditions to the microbiological laboratory within 15 minutes for performing bacterial culture and antibiography

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: This cross sectional descriptive study was conducted on 130 chronic rhinosinusitis patients who did not respond to medical treatment and were candidate for Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) from Jan 2015 to March 2016. The subjects aged between 18-74 years and the mean of patients’ age was 38/16 ± 13/44. Patients who observed inclusion criteria involving >18 years old, no antibiotics consumption in the last month, failure to respond to at least two courses of chronic sinusitis treatment, and having positive coronal CT were enrolled for the current study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: It is noteworthy to mention that no patient received antibiotics before surgery
