Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: postpartum women who willing to use DMPA for contraception.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - any gynecological disease that could cause abnormal uterine bleeding such as leiomyoma uteri or adenomyosis - coagulopathy - contraindication for mefenamic acid including gastritis, asthma, liver disease or renal disease - contraindication for progestin including o systolic BP more than 160 or diastolic BP more than 100 mmHg o acute deep vein thrombosis o history or current myocardial infarction or stroke o antiphospholipid syndrome o undiagnosed abnormal vaginal bleeding o progesterone receptor positive associated malignancy o severe liver disease or liver tumor
