Marine based fatty acid PCSO&#45

524 (Antinolïƒ¢

Pharmalink International Co. Ltd.) was given orally at 5 mg/kg q24hr for 8 weeks. Each capsule contains PCSO&#45

524 50 mg.&#44

Sunflower oil 100 mg. and d&#45

Alpha&#45

tocopherol 0.225 mg. ,Firocoxib (Prevocox

Merial (Thailand) Limited.) will be given orally the 5 mg/kg q24hr for 8 weeks. Each tablet containing 227 mg.,The combination of firocoxib and PCSO&#45

524 will be given at the dosage that previously described q12hr (PCSO&#45

524) and q24hr (firocoxib) for 8 weeks. ,both the capsule containing sunflower oil and tablet containing starch will be given at the dose previously prescribe in arm 4.

2 Years to 13 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Dogs of either genders weighing between 40-90 lbs (18.18-40.09 kg) 2) Skeletally mature dogs (more than 1.0 years of age) 3) Purina body condition grading system from 5-9 4) Dogs with the hematological and blood chemistry values falling within the normal limits 5) Clinically lame dogs who are able to trot across the force platform 6) Dogs with the radiographic evidences of osteoarthritis of the hip and/or stifle joints

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Pregnant or lactating bitches 2) Dogs with the neurological deficits 3) Dogs with abnormal hematological and blood chemistry values 4) Dogs having joint surgery within the period of 8 months 5) Dogs with other systemic or any concurrent diseases
