Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - ASA I or II - adult patients undergoing elective abdominal hysterectomy or abdominal hysterectomy with salpingo-oophorectomy - Age > 18 years old

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: &#45; Preexisting coagulation disorder &#45; Morbid obesity (BMI≥ 35) &#45; Body weight < 40 kg &#45; Local infection at the site of the block &#45; Allergy to levobupivacaine or dexamethasone &#45; Chronic pain &#45; Impair immune system or risk of infection &#45; Underlying disease: diabetes mellitus &#45; Previous abdominal surgery
