Interventions

All participants received 14 x 100 ml bottles of standard Yakult at the start of the study. Participants were instructed to consume one bottle daily for 14 consecutive days&#44
one hour after the evening meal&#44
to be consumed over a period of 30 seconds.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy (no systemic diseases)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Smoker Alcoholic Pregnant Taken prescription medication/antibiotics within 4 weeks prior to study start Consumed probiotics/probiotic-containing beverages within 2 weeks prior to study start Prior restorations on maxillary canines and premolars
