Immediately after delivery,
the music group listened to three versions of the popular Thai song “Im Oon,
â€,
which were played from a CD. The music length was approximately 11 minutes. ,Immediately after delivery,
the control group did not have any music played in the delivery room.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Term mothers who had undergone vaginal delivery in the delivery room at Ang Thong hospital from January to November 2013.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Gestational periods less than 37 weeks or more than 41 weeks and 6 days,complicated pregnancies, complicated neonatal outcomes, delivery complications, mothers who had contraindication for breastfeeding, and mothers who were hearing-impaired or who could not verbally communicate in the Thai language.
