Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: infants with gestational age > 35 weeks and birth weight > 2,500 grams, Apgar scores at 5 minutes more than 5, and age at enrolment less than 14 days.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: infants who had liver diseases or cholestasis, severe hyperbilirubinemia requiring intensive phototherapy or exchange transfusion; previously received phototherapy; or admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit.
