Interventions

0.4 microgram per kilograms of Dexmedetomidine will be given slowly intravenously in 20 minutes for the bolus dose then 0.5 microgram per kilogram per hour for continuous infusion until end of surgery

Age
18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The patient, whose age between 18 and 65 years, scheduled for cardiopulmonary bypass facilitated elective cardiac surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: allergic to any drug in research protocol left ventricular ejection fraction less than 30% pre-operative severe hypotension (mean arterial pressure less than 60 mmHg) pre-operative severe bradycardia (heart rate of less than 45 beat per minute) co-existing psychological disorder unable to take cognitive function test.
