Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Birth expected at less than 32 completed weeks gestation or estimated birthweight less than 1500 g 2) Mother presenting in sufficient time to receive antenatal counseling and steroids 3) Parental consent to the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Known congenital abnormality that could affect oxygenation, or surviva or cardiorespiratory function 2) Infants do not require positive-pressure ventilation
