Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age ≥ 18 years ESRD on maintenance dialysis (HD or CAPD) Serum phosphate ≥ 4.5 mg/dL

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Primary or tertiary hyperparathyroidism Postsurgical parathyroidectomy Usage of non calcium-based phosphate binder Adynamic bone disease Persistent hypercalcemia GI problems Psychiatric problems
