Two tablets of 100-
mg doxycycline were given to
compliant participants without a history of tetracycline or doxycycline allergy. The participants were observed 2 hours after taking doxycycline.

18 Years to 80 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All residents who lived in the municipality area of Hat Yai city, aged 18 years or above and were exposed to flood water since October 3 were eligible to be enrolled in this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women, lactating mothers and those who felt sick with any disease or took any antibiotics before the enrollment period were excluded.
