Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Grade 4 students attending primary school in Gampaha district 2. Informed written assent of the school children and consent of the parents/guardian its obtained 3. Students who are thin (BMI-for-age z-score +1SD) 4. Students who are having >8 g/dL of Hb

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students who are taking medicine for any illness or on special diet plan

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Health and Nutritional status (Anthropocentric measurements: height (cm), weight (kg), waist circumference (cm), mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC, mm), blood pressure (mmHg), hemoglobin level (Hb, g/dL)) [Timepoint: Measurements will be done at the baseline prior to intervention in both intervention and control group of children and the endline assessment will be three (3) months after initiation of the intervention.]

Change in mean scores of the following tools: 1. Lifestyle habits including dietary intake and physical activity 2. Child behavior (SDQ) 3. Knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) [Timepoint: Measurements will be done at the baseline prior to intervention in both intervention and control group of children and the endline assessment will be three (3) months after initiation of the intervention.]
