Study setting Medical officer of health (MOH) areas in Gampaha district, Sri Lanka. Method of randomization A random cluster sampling method will be adopted with a MOH area defined as a cluster. 14

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Public Health Midwives who have been working for more than 6 months in the setting

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Public Health Midwives on leave and attached to any training program during the study period

Proportion of Public Health Midwives having “good inter-personal communication skills” rated by the Interpersonal communication skills assessment tool ( IPCST). [Base line, Two weeks after the intervention and at 3 months following intervention. ]—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Proportion of Public Health Midwives having “good inter-personal communication skills” assessed by a validated assessment tool. [One month after the intervention ] Proportion of PHMs with "good knowledge" on complementary feeding assessed by a validated assessment tool. [Two weeks after the intervention ]—
