Setting: Snake bite victims will be recruited at the time of the bite from medical wards of the Polonnaruwa general hospital.

Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Snakebite victims admitted to the Polonnaruwa General Hospital with evidence of envenoming.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Preexisting psychiatric disorders. 2. Age <18 years 3. Those without basic fluency in Sinhala language
