| ILIB will promote a reduction in muscle damage resulting from competitive sport, which will be assessed using muscle damage markers and functional tests. A reduction in the levels of pro-inflammatory markers such as TNF alpha, MCP-1, IL-6, CXCL-8, IL-1, IL-15, IL-17A, IL-5, IL-13, INF gamma, c-reactive protein and an increase in anti-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1ra, IL-4, IL-10, IL-33, TGF beta, transcription factor NFkbeta, soluble HLAG which will be analyzed by ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) using serum samples (ELISA Development Kit, 900-M21, Peprotech Inc, USA). Improvement in the functionality of the cellular profile of CD4+ (T helper), CD8+ (T cytotoxic), CD16+CD56+ (NK), CD4+CD25+FOXP3 (T regulatory) cells and reduction in activation markers PD-1, CTLA4, CD95+, CD28+CD57+ and HALDR through flow cytometry. Improvement in the redox balance through the reduction of nitric oxide (TBARS), improvement in the antioxidant activity of the enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) and the content of glutathione (GSH) through biochemical assays. Improvement in functional capacity through analysis of the tests: Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT), II.Tripple Hop for Distance Test (THDT) and Effort Perception Scale (EPE). | — |
