Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Volunteers of both sexes; and with the age range from 30 to 80 years. Have at least 10 teeth in the mouth, excluding teeth indicated for extraction. Be patients with chronic kidney disease (test group). Be patients without chronic kidney disease (control group). Have at least 3 teeth with at least 1 interproximal site, not contiguous, with Probing Depth and Clinical Attachment Level of 5 mm, as well as at least 30% of sites with Probing Depth and Clinical Attachment Level of 4 mm and Bleeding on Probing. Patients in the control group will have the same inclusion criteria, except for the presence of chronic kidney disease, and will be matched according to age (plus or minus 3 years) and gender
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women. Patients who have undergone periodontal treatment in the last six months. Patients who smoke or have smoked within the last five years
