Age
6 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children in general good health; acceptable level of oral hygiene; with at least two teeth with HMI affecting the middle third of the dentine and without pulp or periradicular involvement; at least two surfaces of the affected tooth with MIH stains, but the staining should not involve more than 50% of the dental enamel.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with enamel malformation associated with syndromes; imperfect amelogenesis; first permanent molars with completely destroyed crowns, dental fluorosis or dental erosion; Children with poor oral hygiene; children using fixed orthodontic appliances or with gastroesophageal reflux.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Restoration retention determined through the criteria of the International Dental Federation after 1, 3, 6 and 12 months, and through relative frequency measurement.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
impact on quality of life determined by the instruments CPQ8-10 and CPQ11-14, which will be applied before treatment and after 3, 6 and 12 months, and through relative frequency measurement and average. .
