Age
0 Years to 17 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children from 0 to 17 years 11 months and 29 days; subject to peripheral intravenous puncturing; continuous intravenous therapy; hemodynamically stable; have at least one risk factor for failure of the procedure; to be or to be admitted to the unit with a minimum stay of 48 hours;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not signing the Informed Consent Form; not being punctured with both transillumination equipment; refusing to participate in the research;

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate if the success rate in the first puncture attempt with the use of transillumination will promote the success increase from 40% to 70% accuracy was verified by observing the execution of the procedure

Verify to the professional who performed the procedure whether using transillumination equipment made it was more or less easily to perform peripheral intravenous catheterization
