Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that once the evaluations were performed before and after the intervention, the volunteers submitted to the Pilates Method exercises had a positive effect on the increase in the distance between the acromion, reduction of the distance between the epicondyls and the styloid process and approximation of the inferior angles of the scapulae, evaluated through the software of postural evaluation - SAPO. In addition, we expect a positive effect on the static equilibrium evaluated through the stabilometry and dynamic balance evaluated through the Berg and Timed and Go Test tests of the elderly.;When they were re-evaluated using the SAPO postural evaluation software, it was observed that there was a statistically significant difference between the groups before and after the intervention in the upper scapula angle (ASE) variables (p = 0.01) from 21.62 to 16.67 in the group that received the intervention and lower angle of the scapula (EIA) (p = 0.02), from 22.85 to 16.87, and there was no statistically significant result in the other variables. There was also a statistically significant result in the Berg test (p = 0.0002) from 20.5 to 14.3, as well as in the TUGT (p = 0.0005) when it increased from 20.98 to 26.38 .
