Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study population will be composed of healthy; eutrophic women (BMI between 18.5 kg/m2 and 24.9 kg/m2; aged between 20 and 30 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women with a BMI of less than 18.5 kg m2; BMI greater than 24.9 kg/m2; carriers of immune diseases; use of immunosuppressive drugs; clinical diagnosis of diabetes; thyroid dysfunction; chronic kidney disease or liver disease; to have had bariatric procedure prior to the study; Are chronic alcoholics; Use medications that modulate hormonal functions (eg, contraceptive); medicines that affect appetite; medicines that affect body weight (eg, inhibitors) in the last 12 months; Have participated in any food restriction program; have been using nutritional supplements in the last 12 months; Have a feverish state in the weeks of the research; Have not followed the stipulated protocol for data collection; have refused to carry out any of the proposed evaluations.

MeasureTime frame
Increase in serum anorectic hormone (GLP-1) concentration 90 minutes after EGCG supplementation, evaluated by the ELISA method, from the 5% variation of the initial value. The measurement was performed acutely, 90 minutes after EGCG supplementation.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Increase in measures of satiety and reduction in hunger and desire to eat 90 minutes after supplementation of EGCG, evaluated by visual analogue scale method, from the variation of 5% of the initial value. The measurements was performed acutely, 90 minutes after EGCG supplementation.
