Age
18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Edentulous in both arches; Both sexes; All patients should have been rehabilitated with conventional dentures at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte; users of new conventional dentures, with at least two (2) months of use.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of these conditions: diabetes, smoking, osteoporosis and immunodeficiency; have undergone radiation therapy to the head and neck; be treated with some anticoagulant therapy; younger than 18 years.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Success of the implants checked through the therapeutic success in dental implants in the follow-up times from the observation of survival of the implants in good biological and functional conditions.—

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Smaller amount of biofilm on the mini-abutment verified by non-visualization of the biofilm presence. Decrease or absence of bleeding verified by after the probe in the absence of bleeding. Lower degree of peri-implantar inflammation verified by observation of health in the soft tissues around the implants. Maintenance of the keratinized mucosa zone verified by observing the level of this tissue at a height compatible with that of the previous examination. The level of the margin of the mucosa verified by means of the measurement with periodontal probe millimeter and observation of the height of the mucosa in relation to the position of the mini-abutment. Depth of the peri-implantar groove verified by means of a millimeter probe measurement from the margin of the soft tissue to the bottom of the groove. Amount of calculation in the bar or base of the prosthesis verified by the observation of the presence or absence of calculation in these places.—
