Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primary and Secondary Schools of the public and private network of the “Território da Cidadania do Noroeste Colonial”, in RS, that own sales structure in canteen format at the school

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Schools with exclusive care for children with special needs

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: An improvement is expected in the quality of foods offered in school canteens. To evaluate the nutritional quality of the school canteens, a validated Australian instrument will be used and adapted for Brazil by the researchers of this study. It is expected to detect an effect magnitude (d) of 0.90;Expected outcome 2: An improvement is expected in the hygienic-sanitary conditions of the school canteens. To evaluate the hygienic-sanitary conditions the list of Food Services Categorization Assessment proposed by the “Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária” (ANVISA) will be used. It is expected to detect an effect magnitude (d) of 0.90
