Age
20 Years to 35 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy individuals; of both sexes; between the ages of 20 and 35; who regularly practice physical exercise

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Have metabolic; musculoskeletal; cardiovascular; respiratory; or neurological disorders; have recent muscle strains/injuries; be using medications that affect muscles; recently use muscle recovery modalities; undergo ongoing physical therapy; and have allergies to materials

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
An average difference in pain assessed using the visual analogue scale (VAS) of at least 20% is expected.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find an average difference in muscular strength assessed by means of dynamometry and electromyography of at least 15%;An average difference in edema across limb circumference of at least 20% is expected;An average difference in balance through baropodometry of at least 20% is expected;It is expected to find an average difference in the subjective perception of muscle recovery through specific validated questionnaires of at least 20%;It is expected to find an average difference in autonomic nervous system activity through heart rate variability analysis of at least 15%;It is expected to find an average difference in the activity of the prefrontal cortex subjected to infrared spectroscopy of at least 25%;It is expected to find an average difference in body composition submitted through bioimpedance of at least 20%;An average difference in biochemical markers of muscle recovery of at least 10% is expected
