Age
5 Years to 15 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age group between 5 and 13 years old; impubescent or at the beginning of puberty

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previous participation in weight loss program; endocrine or genetic obesity; metabolic diseases; previous heart, respiratory, liver and kidney diseases

Expected outcome 1: It is expected to improve the profile of cardiovascular risk factors and physical fitness in children with overweight or obesity, featuring regular body practices alongside healthy eating as a way of preventing diseases associated with a sedentary lifestyle and obesity in children.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 2: Reflect on how changes in lifestyle, which mainly involve healthy eating and physical activity, contrast with the difficulty of access for people with low income, in addition to being influenced by cultural, informational and psychological issues (stigma, self-esteem, guilt, etc.). Understanding to support the actions of professionals in the field.;Expected outcome 3: It is hoped to contribute to the development of effective public policies aimed at combating and treating childhood obesity in the State of Rio de Janeiro.
